Silly Hacks is a 48-hour long, online global hackathon, where you Hack for Fun! Silly Hacks is a platform for you to show your creativity and build something out of the box. At Silly Hacks we are not looking for solutions for a particular problem, it is an open canvas, you are free to paint it however you want.

We are aiming to spread the message that coding can be fun and that one can build anything they want. This is also our small step towards spreading joy in this world.

Eligibility

This event is open to hackers, all over the world, who are students at the time of the hackathon or who have graduated within the last 12 months. Students can include university undergraduate or postgraduate students, and people who are in vocational training such as apprenticeships. The minimum age requirement for the students is 18 years.

As per our Code of Conduct, there is no discrimination on the basis of race, religion, national origin, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, social class, economic status, veteran status, disability, or age.

Requirements

  • You must submit a 2-minute (max) video demo! Mention the services by our sponsors you used and the MLH tracks you are applying for in the introduction of the video.
  • The video should demonstrate your project and not be a presentation or pitch.
  • The project should be entirely built during the hackathon hours.
